As part of our commitment to achieving carbon Net Zero, Stellantis will have to offset millions of tons of CO2 annually, even after implementing all possible emissions reductions. Our carbon offset strategy is built on a self-sustaining model that involves developing our own carbon removal assets. Stellantis seeks to identify profitable activities and capture a portion of the value chain in decarbonization efforts by leveraging its technical expertise and global industrial assets.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify profitable business opportunities and convince the company to invest in "test and actions based on tangible data";
• Lead on-site pilot projects with selected partners, collecting and analyzing key project indicators to extrapolate profitability when scaled up to an industrial level;
• Lead the creation of a network of academic and industrial partners in South America focused on carbon removal topics;
• Conduct a market analysis of the South America carbon removal sector to understand the competitive landscape and identify strategic opportunities;
• Monitor regulatory developments in the field of carbon removal in South America and assess their impact on Stellantis' strategy and activities;
• Identify complementary funding avenues to accelerate the test & learn phase, particularly from public agencies;
• Coordinate with other regions worldwide and report to the VP carbon offset business to ensure global alignment and sharing insights and progress.
Requisitos
We expect you to have:
• PhD or Master or Engineering or equivalent;
• Portuguese (Fluent), English (C1, B2 mini), Spanish appreciated;
• Technical skills: carbon removal methodologies, GIS (Geographic Information System), project management;
• Action oriented, drive simplicity, speed & efficiency;
• Business oriented;
• Ownership mindset;
• Collaborate through respect, trust and openness;
• Transversal management & drive.
