Descripción y responsabilidades

As a DRE for Battery Components Engineer you will:

  • Create and manage the development plan of the component or subsystem.
  • Define the functional requirements of the component for the Source Pkg's/ RFQs.
  • Manage and drive the design and engineering of the component.
  • Define the dimensional strategy (GD&T scheme, tolerances) along with the dimensional engineer.
  • Engineering materials selection (mechanical properties, thermal behavior, corrosion effect, etc.).
  • Mechanical engineering including tightness of the pack (sealing), ventilation/breathing and venting limits, thermal behaviors, insulation materials (aerogel, mica plates, etc.) as well as basic electrical engineering knowledge.
  • Develop source packages for suppliers, manage tech reviews and generate engineering score card for involved suppliers.
  • Document and manage the risks in the development of the component (included the safety aspects).
  • Establish and follow the virtual and physical validation plan of the component (design validation & process validation).
  • Manage all of the development activities for the component as part of a cross functional team (design, engineering, simulation, purchasing, manufacturing, quality, logistics, project management, etc.).
  • Initiate and coordinate the APQP with the supplier.
  • Initiate and drive a task force for all the issues concerning the component and generate or append the lesson learned document.
  • Analyze and evaluate test results for the component and determine recovery actions.
  • Release the 2D and 3D of the component at each major milestone.
  • Write the Quality/Cost/Planning/Performance (QCPP) synthesis within the scope of the component and report it out.
  • Participate in the updating of the overall validation plans.
  • Work as part of a simultaneous engineering team to ensure part function and integration as part of an overall battery pack."
