Requisitos
The Electrified Propulsion System Simulation Engineer is responsible for leading the evaluation of fuel economy, acceleration performance, capability (e.g. trailer tow) and drivability for new electrified powertrains and vehicles using computer modeling techniques (GoFAST/STLASim) and test data analysis.
Among the responsibilities of the function, the following stand out:
The Simulation Engineer analyzes architectures and concepts to achieve functional requirements
Creates models to analyze the performance of these concepts relative to requirements
The Simulation Engineer is responsible for first principles analysis, development of detailed models, simulation using these models, analysis of the simulation results and conclusions from the simulation
Communication of the results in oral presentations and written reports to Chief Engineers, COEs, Component Engineers and others including Powertrain management is required.
-Bachelors of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Industrial, Computer Engineering, Applied Physics, or related Engineering field).
-Experience in product development (preferably in the automotive area) simulating hybrid and/or electrified propulsion systems.
-Thorough knowledge of the English language including both written and oral communication.
-Thorough knowledge in the disciplines of hybrid control strategies or energy management optimization.
-Thorough knowledge of vehicle Propulsion Systems including internal combustion engines, transmissions, axles, drivelines, batteries, and eMotors.
-Thorough knowledge in the disciplines of fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
-Thorough knowledge of commercial codes including, but not limited to, MATLAB /Simulink, Stateflow, and Simulink coder.
-General knowledge of commercial CAD packages including NX and Teamcenter.
-Thorough knowledge of Microsoft or Google office products.
Preferred Qualifications:
-DFSS green or black belt certification.
